There will be three (3) stations along the course where water, fruits, snacks, music and lots of cheering and encouragement will be available!
That’s every 2.5km, so plenty to go around. They will ensure you are hydrated, motivated and in the right direction.
If you have support groups (a.k.a. family and friends) who would like to cheer for you on the day, we encourage that you tell them to join a particular hydration or cheer station along the course.
Toilet and parking facilities
The Fiji Museum, Albert Park Stadium and just in side the top gate at Thurston Gardens has clean toilets and changing facilities that will be free for the public to use from 4am to 2pm on race day.
Parking will be available in the Suva City and alongside Holiday Inn and GPH as well.
To find out where exactly these are located, you can view or download the Start Area map here.

The re-hydration bu (Fijian green coconut) and after race snacks are also going to be directly after the finishing chutes.
They will have roaming medical teams along the course, and an ambulance will be on standby in case of emergencies.

If you are coming from outside of Fiji as an international participant of the marathon, we recommend Holiday Inn or Grand Pacific Hotel for your stay here in Suva city. There are other hotels and places to stay but you are right across the road from the start area!
Our national flag carrier is Fiji Airways. Several airlines fly to Fiji like Korean Air, Virgin Australia, JetStar, Aircalin and others, so wherever you may be coming from, you are sure to find a way to get here. Most international flights go directly to Nadi international airport only and not in Suva so you’ll have to either take a 30-minute connecting flight, ride on a bus or embark on a 3-hour scenic drive from Nadi international airport to Suva city. Try to book your tickets early so you can get better and cheaper rates.
Fiji is in the heart of the South Pacific, and beyond the beaches and pristine islands we are known for, is the vibrant little capital of Fiji – Suva city where the Suva Marathon takes place annually. Suva is Fiji’s commercial and political centre, and is considered a hub in this part of the world where multiple nationalities, languages and cultures converge. There are many shopping, dining and nightlife activities, and we are just 40 minutes away from the country’s adventure capital, Pacific Harbour.
Come train with us at the Nasese seawall. Train for the marathon, get back into shape, develop healthy habits and make some new friends along the way!
